MARDI GRAS MAMBO and ME AND WHISKEY illustrations completed

The MARDI GRAS MAMBO illustration titled "Brass and Indians" for a collaboration with German artist Hardy C L Lochfrass for Klaus Weiland's upcoming LIVE IM MIKADO album. It is filled with awesomeness and I feel honored to be working with Klaus and Hardy on this project.

A little detail from "Brass and Indians" just for Chela, of Medieval Moccasins.
 The Voodoo Queen detail
The lyrics of the song are written through the bonnets of the Mardi Gras Indians and ...
... on the body of the gold painted Voodoo Queen.
ME AND WHISKEY illustration for Klaus Weiland's LIVE IM MIKADO album.
The drunkards face detail for ME AND WHISKEY.
The Dragon detail. The design is drawn from an old Irish drawing of some controversy according to its meaning, but a few changes and it seemed the perfect illustration for man's struggle with himself and the repercussions of his decisions.

Album art for Klaus Weiland's LIVE IM MIKADO

My portion of a collaborative effort with German artist Hardy C. L. Lochfrass for Klaus Weiland's upcoming LIVE IM MIKADO album. Hardy is a phenomenal graphic designer introduced by our common friend Klaus, who if you don't know is the most amazing guitarist in the world, or as Klaus says, he's "world famous" in Germany. I think this album is going to make that much more global.

And Finally I'm Posting New Work

"ODIN'S GIFT"  and "THE PRICE YOU PAY" by Michelle D. Sonnier which are soon to be released as well as lots of other works by her. If you like fantasy fiction, you should check her out at www.michelledsonnier.com .

Christmas in the air

With the holidays the artists of Loime Studios have been working to tidy up the house for family and friends. So far we've stripped the woodwork down to its natural color, or as close as it will get after being varnished for the past 89 years, and painted the Living room, Dining room and Foyer. We might possibly get to the downstairs painting studio before Christmas dinner, but we'll have to wait and see.

Our Etsy shop has been selling really well, with several of Heather's skirts selling within hours of being posted and some requests for custom orders coming in as well. My lone little Swirly Gourd just sold yesterday too, which reminds me I need to get cracking to finish the several I have in partial states of completion.

That will have to wait though as Heather is in rehearsals for the Hack and Slash Christmas Special - a local tradition and one not to miss if you are in the Baltimore area.
